I love my exercise! My attitude is that I have to make it a priority in
my life. Many people continually make excuses about how they are too
busy but I don't buy that. They make their busy a priority instead of
giving some importance to looking after their own health and well
being. I've been very much overweight. I'm overweight now. But I accept that my overweight is relative to my
lack of commitment to my exercise. It's funny to hear people that don't have time to exercise
discussing all the television shows they watch. I don't get time to
watch television because I make watching television a low priority.

So come on everyone get off your arse and join me grin.
My favorite exercise at the moment is aerobics. Annoying because its
time tabled. But it provides me with a structured part to my exercise
routine. It forces me to warm up, stretch and cool down.
Plus there is
good company and music. Right now I am doing mostly pump or weights
aerobics. Had to lay off the body attack and combat to rest some
injuries. Walking and jogging would come next for me. Mostly alone
instead of trying to fit into someone else's timetable just for the
sake of having them with me.
Don't get me wrong; sometimes I love
company. But often you will find different fitness levels mean they
want to walk when you could run or they just run slower than me. I
recommend getting out there and going at your own pace. Mountain biking
comes next. I don't do it at much as used to. But its great in your
cupboard of things to do. You don't see as much of nature as you do
when you walk but you sure can cover more ground and go to places
further afield. And its a different exercise to the others. Swimming I
used to do a lot. But its very boring watching the black line. I cant
wear a walkman. I love my music for exercise. But when I get aches and
pains it is so therapeutic. Not sure why but in will always be in my
tool kit because of that. Plus being a PADI scuba instructor i need to
keep that sort of fitness up in case I have an emergency in the ocean. |
